An Orchid trip to Ecuador - or why you need a Cyrtochilum in your life

The talk is about the trip David and Gill Mathers took to Ecuador in Autumn 2025 as part of a conservation tour of the country before presenting at the Scientific Conference on Andean Orchids. The trip was guided by one of the top Ecuagenera botanists, Hugo Medina, and the talk gives insights into the different climatic zones in Ecuador and orchids that grow there with insights into how this can be applied to growing our orchids better in Sussex!
