After 15 years working in the Kew Herbarim, Peter returned to orchids as a hobby when he arrived in Sarawak, the largest state in Malaysia on the north coast of Borneo.
With a collection of over 2,000 orchids, Peter will join us direct from Kuching in North West Borneo to talk about the main native genera including Bulbophyllum, Dendrobium, Coelogyne and Appendicula . Peter will share the differing ways their cultivation needs are met whilst dispelling myths about the ease of growing orchids in the lowland wet tropics.
