RHS Chelsea Flower Show a spectacle every year, and this year is no exception as growers and other organisations put months of preparation into the creation of an exhibit which they hope will be worthy of a medal.
We are delighted to announce that the OSGB’s 75th Anniversary exhibit has been awarded a Gold medal at RHS Chelsea 2026. This is the fifth year in a row that the OSGB have achieved a Gold standard exhibit.

Thank you to everyone who made this possible including the dedicated team on the Committee. Our members have once again loaned their beautiful orchids, worked hard on the build, helped with deliveries, and are manning the stand this week.
We’re particularly grateful to Danielle Easton, Bill Gardiner, David Hearsey, Paul Knight, Stuart Meeson, Sally Mill, Gillian and Michael Radley, Nathan Summers, Paul Upward, and Jane Walker who, along with Mark Turner at Elite Orchids, Gill and David Mathers at The Mathers Foundation, Rose Armstrong at McBean’s Orchids, and Zsuzsanna Serer at Spicesotic Plants have once again supported the Society with orchids from their collections.
This was the 60th year that the OSGB have exhibited at RHS Chelsea and every time there are new challenges and opportunities in the run up to the show. But the judging panel recognised the excellent quality and range of plants and were particularly impressed by the level of interest throughout the exhibit, loving a tunnel feature that had been created in the landscaping.
For a detailed review of the show, members can read more in the next issue of the Journal.
