Dear all,

The zoom meeting details for the Christmas party have now been updated at the Event page and sent to you with the Newsletter. I hope to see you all there for a festive catch up.

Please also remember there will be no online Table Show in December - all the plants sent in December will be displayed together with the January plants.

Don't forget that renewals are now due for next year unless your payment is by standing order, or you are a new member and have already paid in advance for 2021. You can easily renew via the OSGB website, using PayPal.

If you are looking for an idea for a friend or family member for a Christmas gift that lasts all year, why not consider an annual membership of the OSGB? Sue Johnson, Membership Secretary, would be happy to assist you with any queries you have regarding a gift membership. Just contact Sue via e-mail osgbmembership@yahoo.co.uk or give her a ring on 01279 812704

Dear all,

All the sent photographs and art for our annual competition have now been uploaded (as some of you have noticed already) You can click here to go directly to the related page.

Please take a minute to read how it will work this year. Since we have had a lot of entries and the voting will take place online, we had to make sure to find a suitable solution to make it possible. Please if anything isn't clear and you have trouble voting do let me know.

Since it's nearly December and 2021 marks the 70th Anniversary of the OSGB I have started a new page dedicated to the history of the society. The articles I have found that are related are all very lenghty so please bear with me as the page evolves and I collect more information, but those of you interested can have a look already here. The articles published there at the moment are from the special anniversary edition of the Journal published in 2001

Hope to see you all during the Christmas zoom meeting and don't forget to vote for you favourite photographs and art before you join.

Dear all,

the November Table Show results are published now at the corresponding page.

We have also decided during the last committee meeting that we won't be holding the Online Table Show in December. We will put together December and January into one show. All of the pictures sent to me already will be uploaded at the beginning of January. Please keep sending me pictures whenever it's convenient for you though.

Voting for the best pictures sent for the Annual OSGB Photographic Competition will start tomorrow so stay tuned for the details.

We have also received a member-wide invitation to join a zoom talk by Professor Andy Jones from East Anglia speaking about growing orchids under artificial lights.

The talk will take place on the 28th of November, please email ricreilly@icloud.com for the zoom link.

A little reminder to mention, everyone is always welcome to get involved, we are looking forward to seeing new articles for The Journal, ideas for the website etc
