Introduce yourself
Hello, let me introduce myself
I have been growing orchids for over 40 years, beginning with a Lycaste aromatica in 1983. Now, I have more than 300 orchids, ranging from Aerangis to Zygopetalum, and I particularly enjoy small, unusual, and cute varieties.
I grow my orchids in a converted sunroom attached to my house, with many of them spending the summer months outside. I live in a suburb of New York City in New Jersey, USA.
I am actively involved in my local orchid societies, the North Jersey Orchid Society and the Ramapo Orchid Society. Additionally, I volunteer as the orchid taxonomist at the Philadelphia Flower Show and am an accredited judge with the American Orchid Society.
I retired in 2012 after a rewarding career as a Software Quality Engineer, working in military, commercial, space aviation, and anti-submarine warfare, before managing Quality Systems in the pharmaceutical industry.
Hello
Hi there, just wanted to say hello. My names Richard and I have been growing orchids in the house for a good few years now. Glad to have joined the society and look forward to learning more about orchids.
New member
Dear fellow members,
My name is Marina and I am quite a novice with a lot of enthusiasm to learn from you and share my energy with you.
I must admit I could not find some information on the site, therefore decided to send my questions to the Forum.
Could you please tell me if you are meeting tomorrow in Twickenham and at what time. I would love to join the gathering.
I also wanted to participate in the next table show, but not sure if it is too late to submit the images of my Orchids online.
Thank you in advance,
