Orchids in Bukidnon
I was visiting Bukidnon and took some pictures of the orchids growing there. Some are wild but most are clones from orchids that have been in families for about 50 years or more. I thought that maybe it could be possible to collect some seeds and do some flasking if they are interesting varieties or species. There have been some new orchid species "discovered" in a place very nearby that I could visit after lockdown...
This is a new picture of the common wild variety that was growing on a mango tree. It has small white flowers which were too high to photograph in close-up:

Many are Vanda orchids such as Vanda sanderiana with a nice smell and Vanda ustii. There are also Oncidium orchids and Spathoglottis plicata. I am not sure about the wild tree orchids as they are mostly growing high in the fruit trees with a long stem with widely spaced leaves and tiny white flowers. Also dendrobium orchids but not flowering just now.
